The American IMA® (Institute of Management Accountants) has officially opened its UK Chapter!
On Friday 3rd February 2017, the Inauguration Conference of the UK Chapter will be held at the Hilton Hyde Park in London to officially found the society. The event is under the umbrella of the IMA Global Office and IMA Europe. It will be a great opportunity for finance professionals to meet the Elected Founding Board and learn about the chapter’s plan, listen to great guest speakers and network with other IMA members.
IMA UK Chapter Elected President, Fatema El-Wakeel, says:
“Being an IMA member myself and having founded the Cairo Chapter before, I know from personal experience how important it is for IMA members to have the support of a local chapter. The UK Chapter is set to empower its members and add value to the Strategic Finance and Management Accounting profession through providing a global perspective. It has been a real pleasure working with the Founding Board on setting up the UK Chapter for the UK based members.”
The conference will be an all-day event that will shed the light on the Chapter strategy as well as its future plan. The topics at this event are setting the tone for what to expect from the UK Chapter. The conference will include the Charter Ceremony as well as four speakers covering important current topics:
