I got asked today about how my executive career started, it made me smile and think back on so many memories. Comfort zones can limit our developments, sometimes all you need to do is have a leap of faith and take opportunities.
There have been many pivotal moments in my life and so many people to thank for their trust and how they believed in me. For my executive career, I owe the start to the amazing!
One of the career decisions I have taken was when I was in my mid-twenties, a Director believed in me and offered me a Regional Reporting Manager role for the region of North Africa and Levant in the great Hilton. That role was a turning point in my career, it developed my strategic and executive mindset at a very young age. The organisation was amazing and the learning was massive, especially that I managed the region during the turbulent time of 2013.
When someone believes in you and offers you an opportunity, take it and believe in yourself.
How did you start your executive experience? What was the pivotal point?
