Came across John Gall’s below thoughts, he basically emphasises the importance of enhancing what already works rather than starting from scratch. Working in Data and Analytics for a while now, I have seen companies thinking how they can mature. The below is a perfect way of thinking about challenges and improve them:
“A complex system that works is invariably found to have evolved from a simple system that worked. The inverse proposition also appears to be true: A complex system designed from scratch never works and cannot be made to work. You have to start over, beginning with a working simple system.”
