The past version of me will be so proud that I shifted careers and followed my passion. The old version was trying to understand the difference between a job and a career and that confused her a lot. If I can go back and speak to 22 years old me I would say:
👩🏻💻 Find your career: You will understand that a career is what makes you tick, it is not a 9 to 5 but a lifestyle choice. You will lead globally in industries which you love, you will be part of Unilever where sustainability is at its core, Jaguar Land Rover where you will see latest luxury cars before they are even out, HP where you will find your passion for latest tech and Hilton where you will travel the world and even more through consulting.
📚 continue learning and following your passion: you will leave Finance, take the transferable skills with you and move to data strategy and work in something called artificial intelligence, analytics and terms that are not known yet.
🤩The sky is the limit: Don’t create a career based on your current skills. You will grow and your skills will grow with you and guess what, you will develop skills you had no idea you had the capability of.
