Data & Analytics Career Mentoring

Why do I enjoy reviewing academic papers?

This bank holiday, I had the opportunity to spend some time reviewing British Academy of Management academic papers on data and digital strategy and strategy as a practice, I enjoyed reading the research papers and can’t wait to see some of them presented this year conference – good luck to all authors!

Reviewing academic papers is important for me for multiple reasons.

  1. It gets me involved in the quality of published research by identifying weaknesses in methodology, analysis, and result interpretation.
  2. It allows me to support with evaluation of the research’s contribution and potential areas for future study.
  3. It helps establish the credibility and reputation of researchers and institutions.
  4. Finally, it enables researchers to interact with the scholarly community and disseminate their expertise.

Being part of the academic community of the University of Cambridge means getting the opportunity to read papers, be an active British Academy of Management member and more.

Academic life is a privilege!
